Best Electric Motor Lakes in White Lake Michigan
There are only 2 Electric motor lakes in White Lake Township. Neither of the two lakes are very big. I would call them two of the smaller lakes in the township. Electric motor lakes usually are a little cleaner because there is no gas or oil being spilled into the lakes and these two beautiful lakes seem to be cleaner than some surrounding lakes. There are many lake home buyers that want a quiet lake or an electric motor only lake in White Lake Michigan. They want to be able to paddle around the lake in peace or to be able to take a quiet boat ride. They have no desire to speed around a lake. They do not want to hear jet skis or loud motor boats. They are very content to buy a home on a peaceful non all sports lakes.
Lake Ona Non All sports Lake White Lake MI
Lake Ona has a strong neighborhood association that not only keeps the surrounding homes in a clean uncluttered state. They also keep non residents off the lake and try to promote the health of the lake. They added bubblers in the lake to add oxygen to the lake so there will not be a winter fish kill. By adding these bubblers it provides oxygen for the fish. These bubblers also help the lake quality because the added oxygen helps reduce the muck and helps in the process of decaying organic material.
Ona Lake is is located just north of Cooley Lake Road and north of Commerce Michigan. Lake Ona in White Lake Township is what I would call a subdivision lake. Lake Ona homes are brick homes of similar size, styles, and ages. There are no old cottages on the lake nor are there any big mega mansions on the lake. The lake homes range in size from 1500 square feet to about 2300 square feet.

Bogie Lake Non all sports lake White Lake MI
Bogie Lake is located south of M-59 and east of Bogie Lake Road. It’s a beautiful small lake. You will find lakefront homes of all sizes, styles and ages on the lake. There are several newer built bigger brick colonials on the lake. You can find small older cottages (that have been turned around into year round homes). Some as small as 600 square foot. On the opposite end of the spectrum you will find the big brick colonials ranging over 5300+ square foot.
Like on some Oakland County Lakes there some very different lake lot sizes on Bogie Lake. The old lake front bungalows still sit on 40 – 60 foot lots. But there are other homes that have 100 foot lots. So you have to go there to see if the homes are or are not widely spaced apart. Most of Bogie Lake homes are level with the lake, but there are 4 or 5 that sit above the lake and have a slope or stairs down to the lake. The roads around the lake are both paved and dirt. Again Bogie Lake real estate varies greatly. There are the old 1940’s 1000 sq foot ranches and there are 1990’s 2500 -3500 square foot colonials on the lake. And they can be right next to each other without hurting the value of the neighbors lake property.
