Lake Ona, in White Lake, Michigan, is a small lake that most waterfront residents enjoy for fishing and swimming. It is a very small lake, at 11 acres, so Lake Ona is not an all-sports lake, making it a very peaceful place for lakefront living in White Lake, Michigan. Lake Ona is private to its waterfront homeowners and has a variety of homes. The lake association works hard to maintain the health of this small lake. They have several bubblers/ aerators going in several spots in the lake to add oxygen to the lake and keep the lake from freezing over to prevent a fish kill.
There are about 60 lakefront homes on the lake. I would call this more of a bowl lake. Many of the homes sit above the lake giving the homes great lake views. Some of the homes have gentle slopes down to the lake but some are terraced and have stairs going down.
It is a private spring fed lake. The children on the lake go to Huron Valley Schools.

SOFTWATER LAKE Like so many lakes in Oakland County one side of the lake is older and the other side is newer. When lake lots became a premium developers came in and built usually a street or two on the lakes. The children that live on Softwater Lake in Clarkston go to Clarkston Schools.
WALTERS LAKE At 76 feet, it is an all-sports lake, but it is completely private to its waterfront residents. Walters Lake is a great place to call home, while living lakefront in Independence Township, Michigan.
