Hickory Ridge Lake Highland MI

There are many beautiful homes on Hickory Ridge Lake.  It is a beautiful little subdivision with homes on one side of the street.  There are just lake homes in the sub that I know off.  Hickory Ridge lake homes are what many home buyers are looking for.  So what is Hickory Ridge Lake like.  Would I call Hickory Ridge Lake in Highland Township a draw for lake home buyers?  Hickory Ridge Lake in Oakland County is what I would call an oversized weedy pond.  It is full of lily pads and cattails.

The size of Hickory Ridge Lake is 35 -40 acres in size.  There is one home that sits on a lot that is about 6 acres in size.  It is a private non all sports lake. It's not a lake that you would really put a motor boat on.  It is a spring fed lake. 

The lake lies entirely in Highland Township and the children that live on the lake go to Huron Valley Schools.

The road around the lake is paved.  The homes on the lake are on well and septic.  There are no canals on the lake. No ski course of course.  There are no condominiums on the lake. There are about 28 parcels on the lake.  Several of them are 4+ acres in size.

I would call the lake more of a wildlife watching pond.  Somewhere where you could kayak, or canoe.  It looked so full of lily pads I don't think you can swim or even take a paddle boat through.  

Hickory Ridge Lake homes range from 2400 square foot to over 4300 square feet.  They were built from the mid 1980's to about 2014.  They are big beautiful brick colonials with 2 & 3 car garages, basements (some walkout).  Most of the homes have 3 & 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2+ bathrooms.

The homes sit on lots ranging from 1/2 acre to .87 acres.  There is one home that sits on 6.57 acres.  It is basically a one street sub comprised of nice brick colonials.  There are no small cottages on this little lake.
