Children go to Bloomfield Hills Schools.  There are two islands on Gilbert Lake in Bloomfield Hills MI.  I would call Gilbert Lake more of a bowl lake.  What I mean by that is that the surrounding homes are higher than the lake.  They are on a gentle slope above the lake.  No stairs are needed, but lake views from the homes are beautiful.  If you are moving to Michigan and do not know, Bloomfield Hills is one of Metro Detroit's prestigious communities with excellent schools, great demographics, and close to business centers.
