ELIZABETH LAKE WATERFORD TOWNSHIP MICH
A large and fun lake in Waterford Township, Michigan is Elizabeth Lake. These waterfront property owners have it all! Elizabeth Lake is one of Michigan’s both private and a all sports lake that is at least 40 feet deep in most areas, making it great for all watersport activities. Another great feature of Elizabeth Lake is that the waterfront properties are a part of an association that host free, private events and more for its residents. These waterfront homeowners enjoy a lake of 363 acres and a maximum depth of 72 feet in Waterford Township, Michigan.
Waterfront properties on the south side of Elizabeth Lake will be on smaller lots and closer together. On the Northside of the lake along Motorway Drive you will find larger lots, both wider and deeper. Waterfront homes on Elizabeth Lake in Waterford Michigan are highly desirable because it is still close enough to Metro Detroit that the drive times are not outrageous.
Like most of Oakland County waterfront homes you will find that Elizabeth Lake Waterfront homes vary in size, and style. There are still some small older lake cottages from the 1920's -1950's. You will find some of them that have been added onto and others that have been torn down. New bigger colonials and contemporary homes now replace those old Elizabeth Lake cottages.
There are waterfront homes that range from 600 square feet to over 5400 square feet on the lake. Elizabeth Lake is fed by the Clinton River and the children that live on the lake would go to Waterford Schools. There is a marina on the lake where people can pay to park their boat and enjoy Elizabeth Lake. So that adds a little boat traffic to the lake even though Elizabeth Lake has no DNR or public access.
A couple of neighborhood associations do have a beach/lake access lot for swimming.
