DEER LAKE INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP MICH

Deer Lake is a large, public lake in Independence Township, Michigan.  Many people say Deer Lake Clarkston because it is so close to downtown and the mailing address is Clarkston.  The waterfront property residents of Deer Lake enjoy the perk of all sports watercraft being permitted.  Since it has a maximum depth of 63 feet, it is perfect for many water activities.  Deer Lake is 137 acres, allowing room for many waterfront homes with larger lots. Independence Township, Michigan is the ideal place for waterfront living, at Deer Lake.

Deer Lake in Clarkston does have a public beach and also does allow boat launching with a permit.  There is no DNR access (public access) for boat launching on the lake, it is only an Independence Township park.  Deer Lake in Clarkston Michigan is what I would call more of a high end lake.  There are very beautiful larger homes on the lake.  Some sit on the hillside surrounding part of the lake.  They have beautiful views from sitting high above the lake.

Some of them would qualify as luxury waterfront estates.  Some sit on 7, 10, or 12 acres and range up to 7000 square feet in size.  You can see some of these waterfront estates from the public beach.  So if you are looking for a luxury lakefront estate along the I-75 corridor Deer Lake and Lake Angelus are two places you should look.

Another benefit of living on Deer Lake in Clarkston Michigan is that your children would go to excellent Clarkston schools.  There is an under-water shelf that projects out into the lake from the beach area (east end of the lake). It can be extremely hazardous if someone should step off the shelf. Water depth can change from 3 feet to 30 feet with one step.

Did you know WAUMEGAH LAKE is completely private, so these waterfront residents have the benefit of living on a fun lake, while maintaining their peace.  Waumehgah Lake in Springfield Township, Michigan is a great place for waterfront home-seekers to check out. WOODHULL LAKE  is a public lake, but Oakland Lake has public access, so waterfront residents should expect some extra traffic, but not as much as a completely public lake.
