Some of the waterfront homes are on septic systems and some are on sewers.  The lake homes ages range from the 1930's to the present day.  The garages are varied to.....from no car garages to four care garages.  There are all styles of homes from ranchs, colonials, cape cods, split levels, and contemporary homes.   Some homes have basements some are on slabs and crawl spaces.  Many of the neweer homes have basements and some are walkouts.

Woodland Lake is a public all sports lake that is 309 acres in size.   The deepest spot on the lake is 38 feet.  They say the mean depth of the lake is 7.61 feet.  You can usually see down six to eight feet.  The are six island on the lake and one is public property.    There is a DNR public boat launch off of Hilton Road.  There is a permit or day fee required to launch a boat.  There is no public beach but there is parking for 26 vehicles and their trailers. 

The children on the lake go to Howell or Brighton Schools depending on where they live on the lake.  Both are good school systems.   The shor line is 41,943 feet long.  There are no wake restrictions that I know of .  The lake is fed by Ore Creek and two unnamed streams.

The streets around the lake are paved.  There are canals on Woodland Lake.  I do not know if there is a state approved water ski course.  There are no condominiums on the lake that I know of. 

Woodland Lake is a "L" shaped lake with lots of small coves and bays.  It the type of lake that I like because when you turn the corner there is more lake to see.

Woodland Lake is located on the outskirts of downtown Brighton in Livingston County MI.  You can see the lake from Grand River or Hilton Rd.  Woodland Lake is located north of Hilton Rd, West of Grand River, east of Old US 23, South of Hyne Rd.  It is conveniently located only minutes off the Grand River exit on I-96.
