For a very natural, but fun lake, there is Townsend Lake in Independence Township, Michigan.  The waterfront properties on Townsend Lake are not incredibly huge, but there is a fair share of room between the houses.  Another plus is that there are no waterfront homes on two sides of the lake, keeping it very natural, as there is no build up on the majority of this particular Michigan lake.  At 26 acres, this leaves plenty of open room for Townsend Lake’s waterfront residents to enjoy the view, as it is a private lake.  With a maximum depth between 40 and 65 feet, it is mainly a pontoon lake, but all sports vehicles are allowed.  Townsend Lake is one of the finest places for waterfront living, in Independence Township, Michigan.

The lake is fish hooked shaped and I believe spring fed.
