Lakefront homes on Squaw Lake Linden MI

Squaw Lake Genessee County MI

You will love living on Squaw Lake in Livingston County.  You are no going to find any huge mega mansion lake homes on Squaw Lake.  You are going to find normal size homes.  Yes there are still some small cottages on the lake, but most of them are in the 1000 square foot to 2500 square foot range.  There are about 100 waterfront homes on Squaw Lake and more canal front homes on the canal between Lake Ponemah and Squaw Lake. The homes are fairly close together.  None of the lots are very big.  There might be one or two lake homes that sit on lots over an acre, but there are none that are over two or three acres that I know of.

Here are the basic characteristics of the lake homes on Squaw Lake:

The lake homes were built between the 1940s to 2011.  The houses have two to five bedrooms, though there are a few homes with just one bedroom.  Most homes have one to four and a half bathrooms. Some homes have no garages up to 3 car garages..  The square footage of the homes range from 696 square feet to over 4300 square feet.  The majority of homes are under 2500 square feet.  Some homes have basements and others are on crawl spaces and slabs.  The home styles are ranches, colonials, split level homes, a log home, bungalows, and contemporary.

There are only single family residences on the lake.  There are no condos on the lake.  All the homes are on sewers and have wells.

Location of Squaw Lake

The lake is about 2 miles from Linden and about 5 miles from Fenton.  The lake lies south of Rolston Road, north of Silver Lake Road, West of US 23, and east of Ripley Road.  You can be downtown Fenton in about 10 minutes to grab dinner at one of Fenton's fine restaurants.

Squaw Lake is part of a chain of lakes that includes Tupper Lake and Lake Ponemah.  If you do not know living on a chain of lakes adds so much to your boating experiences.  Instead of being confined to one lake you have three lakes to enjoy.  Both Tupper Lake and Squaw Lake are under a hundred acres.  Sure you can ski on Squaw Lake but Tupper is too small.  Lake Ponemah is big enough for any water sports at 379 acres.

When you live on a chain of lakes you have so much more to see.  The leisurely pontoon rides you take with family and friends will be longer and more enjoyable.  You will never fish all the spots on the lake.  What is nice living on Squaw Lake is that it will be quieter than living on Lake Ponemah.  You will not have as much boating traffic on Squaw Lake as you would on Lake Ponemah. There are even canals on Lake Ponemah to cruise down.  Plus there is a hang out spot on the lake too.  So much more to enjoy.

Then downtown Fenton is less than 15 minutes away.  You will be living the dream.  It's like being on vacation every day of the year and still have all the great restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee shops, and stores close by.  What more could you ask for in life.  I myself live on White Lake so I understand lake living and all the fun you can have on a lake.

If you are looking to make your life better and more enjoyable give me a call or text.  My cell is 248-310-6239.  I know the lakes in Southeast Michigan and can help make your lake home search so much easier.

best lake real estate agents fenton mi

Here is what one of my past clients had to say about me!

Russ helped us to find our Lakefront Home. He is very knowledgeable and always has your best interest in mind. We looked for almost 1 year viewing over 40 homes. Russ never pressured us or tried to “sell” us a home, he is a very patient real estate agent. What I also appreciated was the fact that he responded usually within a couple of hours by phone or text and tries to set up a showing as soon as possible, which is the key in a seller’s market. Having an agent with many years of experience and knowing the local market is key in the negotiation process. Having Russ on your side makes this foreign process (for first time home buyers) a very smooth and and enjoyable experience. We definitely recommend Russ, if you plan to buy a home in SE Michigan! I also highly recommend visiting one of his internet homepages to do some research on the local lakes. Lots and lots of information that you couldn’t get anywhere else.
