Silver Lake Fenton MI Data

Silver Lake is a private all sports lake that is about 310 acres in size.  The deepest spot on the lake is 64 feet deep.  The mean depth of the lake is 19 feet deep.  There is a big park on the east side of the lake that has a big beach for the public.  That is the only public access.  Though I believe the two marinas rent dock spaces.

The lake is spring fed.  The children on the lake go to Fenton schools and Linden schools depending on where you live on the lake.  The streets around the lake are paved.  There are a few canals on the lake.  I do not know if there is a state approved water ski course on the lake.   

Silver Lake is a kettle lake formed by glaciers thousands of years ago.  It is a great lake not too far from downtown Fenton  There is a single inlet from Marl Lake on the south end and an outlet that discharges into Lake Ponemah on the north end. There is a 62 foot deep basin at the south end of the lake.

Lake access to Silver Lake is at one of the two marinas, Silver Spray Sports and White’s Landing, both off Silver Lake Road.  There is also a public beach at Silver Lake Park.  It is a nice public beach in Fenton.  I believe you can get to Marl Lake from Silver Lake but I do not know what size of boat can get through the culvert under Owen Road. 

Homes for sale on Silver Lake Fenton MI

Silver Lake homes are on wells.  Some are on sewers and some are on septic systems.  It depends on where you live on the lake.  There are some lots that homes sit on that are over an acre in size. You will find that sometimes there a few waterfront homes to choose from on the lake.  What ever type, or size of lake house you want you can most likely find it on the lake.

Here are some of the basic features. of the lake homes.  One to seven and half bathrooms, two to seven bedrooms.  Lake home styles range from ranches, colonials, tudor, cape cods, bungalows, and contemporary homes.  Some homes are on slabs & crawl spaces, many have basements

Square footage ranges from 1100 square feet to over 8000 square feet.  There are some homes with no garages all the way up to a 6 car garage.  Most of the home have 2 car garages.  Most of the homes were built between the years of 1940 to the present day.

Silver Lake Location

Silver Lake is located in both Fenton and Fenton Township in Genessee County.  The lake is located west of US 23, south of Silver Lake Road, and north of Owen Road.  It is north of Marl Lake. East of Pine Lake and south of Lake Ponemah.  You cannot get to Pine Lake or Lake Ponemah from Silver Lake.  Living on Silver Lake is like being on vacation all day, every day, all year round.

You will not want to go anywhere during the summer when the sun is shining off the water.  You will not have to drive up north three or four hours.  Your vacation spot will be there after you get off of work.  Let me tell you....it is a great way of life.  I myself life on White Lake in White Lake Township down near Milford.  I always ask myself why I didn't move to a lake sooner.  If you buy a home on Silver Lake you will be asking yourself the same thing.
