MOHAWK LAKE WATERFORD TOWNSHIP MICH

Mohawk Lake features some older homes, as well as more modern homes located in a gated street, all in Waterford, Michigan.  These waterfront homes sit on a 23 acre lake with a maximum depth of 33 feet.  Mohawk Lake is an all-sports lake that attaches to Wormer Lake, also right in Waterford, Michigan.  The lake itself is private, but there is public access through an association beach on Wormer Lake.  However, this would not be much of a disturbance for Mohawk Lake waterfront residents.  Mohawk Lake is a great place to enjoy lakefront living in Waterford, Michigan.

Mohawk Lake is part of the Clinton River chain.

There is one street, Cove Bay that has newer larger brick colonial homes on it, ranging up to 3000 square feet.  The rest of the lake are older homes from 1958 to 1970.  Children that live on the lake go to Waterford school system.  Mohawk Lake is one of the few lakes in Oakland County that connect to a chain of lakes.  From Mohawk Lake you can get to Wormer Lake, Schoolhouse Lake and even to Loon Lake.  The height of your boat determines how far you can go on the chain.  I have been told the fishing is great on Wormer and Mohawk Lake.
