Waterfront homes on Lake Ponemah Fenton MI

Lake Ponemah homes Fenton MichiganHere are the basic features of lake homes on Lake Ponemah in Genessee County. The waterfront homes were built between the years of 1920 - 2012.  The lot sizes are both narrow and wider.  A few of the homes sit on lots from one to two acres.  The homes range from 800 to 7600 square feet in size.  They have one to five bedrooms, and one to six and a half bathrooms.  Some of the lake homes have no garages and others have up to a 5 car garage.  But most homes have 2 -3 car garages.  The home styles are cape cods, colonials, contemporary, ranches and split levels. Some homes have basements, others are on crawl spaces and slabs.

There are hundreds of homes on the lake. I do not believe there are any condos on the lake.  The Ponemah lakeshore hosts every style of house from older cozy cottages to large mansions.  There is about 100 homes on the canals of Lake Ponemah.  Emerald Pointe Drive has several large luxury lakefront homes.  The homes are on well and sewers.

There are two decent size islands on the lake that are uninhabited.  Ponemah connects to Tupper and Squaw Lake and the lake association is called PST after the first initials of each lake. PST is very involved and they do many events and parties all year long. It is a natural kettle lake that is spring fed and fed by the Shiawassee River.

One of the best parts of the lake is the Ponemah Lakeside Lodge.  Once you live on a lake that has a restaurant bar you will never want to live on any other lake.  The restaurant is on the south shore close to Lake Ponemah Marian.  Ponemah Lakeside Lodge offers great views of Lake Ponemah. Inside and outside seating is available. Whether you arrive by bike, boat or by foot, Ponemah Lakeside Lodge is the place to be all year round.  There is beautiful outdoor dining on the patio, and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays there is live music outside. You can pull up dockside and grab a cone of Ashby’s Ice Cream, which they serve all day, every day. If you pop into the lodge for a meal, there’s Detroit style pizza, boom boom shrimp, sub sandwiches that are perfect to grab and go for your boat, and fun trash can nachos. Grab a fruity cocktail from the Tiki Bar, like a Ponemah Pina Colada or a bright and fresh Ruby Mule.
