Fonda Lake in Brighton Township is part of a small group of lakes that is just a short drive to downtown Brighton. Fonda Lake is a private all sports lake that is 83 acres in size. That is a smaller all sports lake. Many lake home buyers like all sports lakes that are over 200 acres in size. The deepest spot on the lake is 39 feet deep. The lake lies both in Brighton and Green Oak Township. The roads around the lake are both paved and gravel.
The children on the lake go to Brighton schools. There are no canals on the lake, no marina, no water ski course, no condominiums, no public beach, no public access, no DNR boat launch site. There are no wake restrictions that I know of. The lake is spring fed.

The lakefront homes are on city water and sewer. The lots that the waterfront homes sit on vary in size. There are some homes that sit on lots over an acres in size. You will find quite a few old smaller cottages on the lake. These three lakes were once a weekend get away for metro Detroiters in the early 1900's. You will also find newer bigger homes on the lake. You will find big homes next to small homes.
The homes have one to five and a half bathrooms, two to six bedrooms, no garage to four car garage. The sizes of homes on Fonda Lake range in size from 1000 square feet to 6020 square feet. Most of the waterfront homes were built between 1920 - 2008. The lake home styles are ranches, colonials, cape cods, bungalows, and contemporary homes.

Fonda Lake in Green Oak Township is just a short ride to downtown Brighton. There are 5 lakes that are fairly close together. They are Woodruff Lake, Pickerel Lake, Briggs Lake, and Island Lake. The children that live on the lake go to Brighton Schools.

It kept me busy after my wife’s death from breast cancer. At the same time I gained so much knowledge about our local lakes.
During the late fall and early winter during our slow time I put this website together. I keep updating it as I get better information. In fact if you know something about a lake send me an email. I will add it to the website. Or if you have a great picture to share I will be glad to post it.
