Cranberry Lake is a 80 to 90 acre private non all sports lake.   I have searched high and low and there is very little information out there on the lake.  The two lake residents I talked to did not have the lake size or depth.  They did say it was not too deep.  It is just a small lake nestled in the woods of Oakland Twp to the west of  Rochester Road.

When I was there I saw an area that had kayaks, canoes, and row boats on the beach.  I assume it is a no wake lake but I don't know if the DNR has an actual law designating the lake that way. There is no DNR Launch that would open the lake to non residents.  It is a private spring fed lake.  Not big enough and no need for a marina becaise there are no power boats or jet skis on the lake.  No ski course, canals, or condominiums on the lake.  There is a beach on the lake and I was told it was for the near by home owners close to the lake. 

The lake lies entirely in Oakland Township Michigan.  The children on the lake belong and go to Romeo School district.  The streets are hilly and are gravel.  

Cranberry Lake in Oakland Twp is just a small private lake that I have been told is mucky.  There is a beach area and good size dock that the local neighbors use.  Many of them store their kayaks and rowboats in that area.  There are not many homes on the lake.  I hear the fishing is decent from one of the lake residents.  

It's a lake that is good for fishing, kayaking, and paddleboarding on.  Did you know that there are two other Cranberry Lakes in Oakland County?  Here they are Cranberry Lake Clarkston, andCranberry Lake White Lake Twp

Cranberry Lake homes Oakland MI

Cranberry Lake homes are on well and septic.   The lots that the homes sit on the lake vary in size.  There are some lots that are over an acre in size.  There are about 38 parcels on Cranberry Lake.  There are quite a few lots that have not been built on.  I don't know if they are buildable with the current septic regulations.  Sometimes the lot is too small or the lot may not perk.  Even though there is a house next door the lot may be unbuildable.  The house next door was built before the current well and septic regulations. 

  The homes on the lake were built between the 1920's to 1990.  There are no big homes on the lake.  Just small cottages to regular sized homes that range in size from 725 square feet to 2300+ square foot.  Though there are three colonials that are good sized that are 3400, 3500, and 3600 square feet.  The homes have two to four bedrooms, and one to three bathrooms.  The homes on Cranberry lake have two and three car garages though some of those small cottages have no garage at all.  Many of the homes have become year round homes.

There are bungalows, ranches, and colonials on the lake.  The children that live on the lake go to Romeo schools.
