COOLEY LAKE WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP MICH
Cooley Lake is a private lake to those with waterfront property homes on it, in both White Lake Township, Michigan and Commerce Township, Michigan. Cooley Lake is a fun, average sized lake at 86 acres and a maximum depth of 86 feet that allows all sports water craft. While Cooley Lake is private, which is great for the waterfront homeowners, there are several other public access lakes in the surrounding area of Oakland County, Michigan. There is Long Lake in Commerce which is just across the street and Union Lake is West Bloomfield that both have lake access.
Cooley Lake is located at the corner of Cooley Lake Rd and Union Lake Rd. It is just a short 10 minute ride to the M-5 connector so it makes it easy to get anywhere in the metro Detroit area.
Waterfront homes on Cooley Lake in White Lake are mixed bag of lake homes ranging from 700 square feet to over 3500 square feet. On the north side of the lake you will find some homes sit on some deeper and wider lots. Cooley Lake in White Lake Township is a private all sports lake that is large enough for water sports. Some Oakland County lakes are all sports but they are so small that you have to keep the boat steering wheel turned because all you are doing is making a small circle. That is not the case on Cooley Lake.
Cooley Lake has a sandbar where some of the lake residents hang out at. Like most of Metro Detroit lakes it depends on where you are at on the lake whether there is a sandy bottom or soft mucky bottom.
