CEDAR ISLAND LAKE WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP MICH
Potential waterfront property owners seeking a smaller lake would benefit greatly from living on Cedar Island Lake in White Lake Township, Michigan. Cedar Island Lake does feature public access, but it is limited. It is mainly used by those living in the waterfront homes and possibly their visitors. Cedar Island Lake is 169 acres and has a maximum depth of 74 feet, though does has plenty of shallow areas. This is an all sports lake in White Lake Township, MI, but the small size keeps it both quiet and fun.
I myself love Cedar Island Lake. I have several friends on the lake and spent many hours skiing and having fun on the lake. Cedar Island Lake is nice in that it is not just a round circular lake. It more of a U shaped lake which makes it fun for water sports. You won't be pulling people just in a big circle. There are plenty of right turns and left turns on the lake when pulling wakeboarders, tubers, or skiers.
What is another nice feature of the lake is that there is several bays and canals to tour around if you are looking for a leisurely ride around the lake with family and friends. It's like there is something different around the corner or down the canal. Residents of Cedar Island Lake have two spots that gather on the lake. They are shallow areas in front of undeveloped property. Sometimes there will be 20 different boats with people standing and talking to each other. One area they even put up a volley ball net in the water.
There are many different home styles on the lake. I have sold several homes on the lake in the last several years one was on a 26' lot which was very unusual for the lake. Most homes on the lake have good sized lots. What I mean by that is there are very few 30 or 40 foot lots on the lake. Most Cedar Island waterfront properties range from 50' to over 100' in size.
If you are looking to buy or sell on Cedar Island Lake you find that the waterfront homes sell quickly if they are priced right. There are still some small ranch homes on the lake but there are also some newer built colonials that are over 3000 square foot in size.

WAUMEGAH LAKE is completely private, so these waterfront residents have the benefit of living on a fun lake, while maintaining their peace. Waumehgah Lake in Springfield Township, Michigan is a great place for waterfront home-seekers to check out.
WOODHULL LAKE itself is private, but Oakland Lake has public access, so waterfront residents should expect some extra traffic, but not as much as a completely public lake.
