The ages of the lake homes start from the 1920's to 2007.  There is one beautiful victorian home on the lake from 1887.  There are some old lake cottages that range from the 1920's to the 1950's.  Some of the homes have no garages and they range up to 3 car garages.  Mostly they are 2 car garages. 

Byram Lake Fenton Information

Byram Lake is a spring fed kettle lake that was formed by glaciers thousands of years ago.  The lake was named after early settlers that lived on it's shores.  There is a Byram Lake Association for the home owners.  The shoreline is about 2.443 miles in length.  If you look at the map below you will see that the lake is more of a long lake than a round lake.

Clover Beach is a Genessee County Park that is on the east side of Byram Lake off Linden Road.  The Beach is on the lake and there is another part of the park that lies on the other side of Linden Road that has trails and sledding/tobagganing hill.  Clover Beach is monitored by the county for water quality. 

It’s everything you’d want in a park: Ball diamonds and tennis courts, Byram Lake and Clover Beach, pavilions for relaxing and a trail for hiking. And when the snow comes, it’s a one-stop winter wonderland, with sledding and tobogganing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. • Cross-country ski trails (not groomed). Facilities open when the terrain is frozen, and when there is a 3-inch accumulation of snow. Please remember that snow accumulation on the ground is not an indicator of frozen terrain.
• Snowmobile areas are open 24 hours a day when conditions are suitable.
• Intermediate sledding and toboggan hill (west side of park). 
• Pavilions (available for rental). Please keep in mind that pavilion #1 next to Byram Lake is accessible by both stairway and barrier free pathway and are a considerable distance from both parking lots. People who have a difficult time walking any great distances may find the pathway to be a challenge. Tents and/or inflatables (bounce houses, etc) are not permitted on the beach side of Linden County Park.

Byram Lake Location Fenton MI

Byram Lake actually lies in three different communities.  Fenton, Fenton Township, and Linden in Genessee County MI.  Most of the homes are on smaller lots, though there are a few over an acre in size.

One of the biggest issues when buying a lake home is the closeness to freeways and how long it takes to get to work.  Byram Lake waterfront homes are close to US-23.  Whether the lake residents work in Fenton, Flint, Brighton, or Lansing it is an easy ride.  You do not have to travel miles of winding roads to get to the highway.
